Luxury Zimbabwe ITINERARY
DAY 1Ilala Hotel, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
On arrival you will be met and driven to the long established Ilala Hotel. The Ilala is set in pretty gardens on the banks of the Zambezi River. The garden often has game wandering through.
DAY 2 & 3Zambezi Sands, Zimbabwe
After your route and safety briefing, you will have time to do some picnic shopping before driving into the Zambezi National Park to stay at the lovely new tented camp Zambezi Sands, which over looks the mighty river.
DAY 4 & 5Camp Hwange, Hwange National Park
Driving south into Hwange National Park you stay at the new Hwange Camp. This pretty tented camp is located in the midst of some of the best game viewing in Southern Africa.
DAY 6 & 7Big Cave Camp, Matopos Hills
Leaving this part of the park you head south through Bulawayo to Matopas National Park. This exraordinary park is home to the grave of the founder of Zimbabwe Cecil Rhodes. You stay at the interesting Big Cave Camp set in the huge hanging rocks of the region.
DAY 8 & 9Great Zimbabwe Hotel
Heading east you drive to The Great Zimbabwe Ruins.The ruins are the largest stone structure south of the Sahara and were started in around AD1100 and were developed into the 15th century. The reason it was built has never been confirmed. You stay at the neawby Great Zimbabwe Hotel.
DAY 10Camp Amalinda
Drive back via Motopas for a night at the lovely Amalinda Camp. This set in a different part of the park.
DAY 11 & 12The Hide Safari Camp, Hwange National Park
Drive north again to stay at one of the original camps in Zimbabwe, The Hide has a long standing reputation for service. It is set on the south east of the park, so you are staying in a very different region from your first visit.
DAY 13Victoria Falls Hotel, Victoria Falls
Drive back into Victoria Falls to stay at the world famous Victoria Falls Hotel. This wonderful colonial hotel over looks the Falls themselves and is a great place to end your Zimbabwe adventure.
The vehicle will be collected from you and after a debrief on your safari, we will take you to the airport for your onward flight.
