Starting in Windhoek and finishing Livingstone (or in the reverse order), this itinerary allows you to explore Namibia’s Skeleton Coast and Damaraland before heading north to world-renowned Etosha National Park for a few days game viewing. For a complete change of scenery, you then drive east through the Caprivi Strip and finally finish at Zambia’s spectacular Victoria Falls. This trip can be done all year round and can also be done in reverse.

Coast and Caprivi ITINERARY

  • DAY 1 The Olive Grove, Windhoek

    Arrive in Windhoek where you will be met by a member of our team in Namibia and taken to the Olive Grove Guesthouse. This is a wonderfully friendly and comfortable place to relax after the flight.
  • DAY 2 & 3 Desert Breeze, Swakopmund

    This morning you drive to the coastal town of Swakopmund where you will stay at the very well run lodge called Desert Breeze. Two nights will give you a full day to take part in some of the activities on offer here.
  • DAY 4 Spitzkoppe Camp, Southern Damaraland

    Today you will drive to Spitzkoppe Camp, Southern Damaraland, which we think is one of the most beautiful areas in Namibia, consisting of an imposing granite rock formation set in the plains. Definitely one of our favourites!
  • DAY 5 Mowani Campsite, Damaraland

    Head north into the heart of Damaraland where you will stay at the beautiful campsites that belongs to Mowani.
  • DAY 6 Etosha Safari Lodge, Etosha National Park

    This morning you will head for the famous Etosha National Park. You stay at Etosha Safari Lodge.
  • DAY 7 & 8 Onguma Campsite, Etosha National Park

    This morning you set off early to enjoy a game drive through the park. You will then exit the park through the Von Lindequist Gate on the eastern side of the park and head for Onguma Reserve which is just minutes from the gate.
  • DAY 9 Hakusembe River Lodge, Rundu

    Today you will have an early start as you make your way to Hakusembe River Lodge. Here you will spend your first night relaxing on the banks of the Okavango.
  • DAY 10 Ndhovu Exclusive Campsite

    Continue along the Caprivi Strip today and stop at your exclusive campsite. There is a good swimming pool, bar and restaurant at the lodge which you are welcome to use as a camper.
  • DAY 11 & 12 Mavunje Campsite

    Today you will be heading to a good little campsite on the banks of the Kwando river. Game regularly wanders through the camp. Just four sites with a good ablution block. The campsite is near a lodge and you are welcome to use the facilities.
  • DAY 13 & 14 Waterberry Lodge

    Today you cross the border into Zambia and continue to the banks of the river Zambezi where you will stay at one our favourite camps, Waterberry Lodge.
  • DAY 15 Depart Livingstone

    You will be transferred to Livingstone airport in time for your flight.
