On this trip you will drive through Arusha National Park, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, The Ngorongoro Crater and into the infamous Serengeti, where you will drop of your vehicle and take a light aircraft flight over to Pemba Island, home to Fundu Lagoon. Staying in our favourite tented camps and exclusive campsites as you go, this is the ultimate safari beach adventure!

Safari Beach ITINERARY

  • DAY 1 Kisongo Farmhouse

    On arrival into Kilimanjaro Airport you will be met by Safari Drive representatives and transferred to Kisongo Farm House, which is located 45 minutes outside Arusha (Tarangire side).The Farmhouse is owned and run by Nick and Nat Harrison, our Safari Drive team in Tanzania, so not only is this the perfect place to start or finish your trip but the perfect base to run through all your logistics and spend time looking at the routes with the maps out.
  • DAY 2 Special Campsite, Tarangire National Park

    Today you begin your Safari Drive trip heading to Tarangire National Park with both bird life and mammals here are in abundance. The park has diverse vegetation and the countryside as well as several rivers you may have to cross. There is a Baobab forest in the north and rich marsh land in the south/centre of the park where big herds of elephant can be found.
  • DAY 3 Maweninga Tented Camp, Tarangire National Park

    Today you continue driving in Tarangire National Park at your own leisure before reaching Maweninga Tented Camp.
  • DAY 4 Lemala Tented Camp, Ngorongoro Crater Rim

    Today you make your way to the Ngorongoro Crater Rim so that you're in striking distance for a visit the following day.
  • DAY 5 Olduvai Camp & Gorge, Ngorongoro

    Today you continue to the world famous Ngorongoro Crater before heading on to Olduvai Camp. It is worth calling in at Olduvai Gorge to visit the museum and to perhaps take a guide into the Gorge Olduvai Camp. The camps central viewing platform provides spectacular views across to the Serengeti and to the Crater.
  • DAY 6 Naabi Hill Special Campsite, Serengeti National Park

    Today you will head into the Serengeti, Tanzania's most famous National Park and home to "The Great Migration'.
  • DAY 7 Moru Kopjie Special Campsite, Serengeti National Park

    One of the most stunning and private parts of the Serengeti, this campsite is the ultimate Serengeti camping experience. Enjoy the day game driving.
  • DAY 8 Lemala Ewanjan, Serengeti Safari Camp

    Today you will make your way to the stylish mobile tented camp which is Lemala Ewanjan.
  • DAY 9-13 Fundu Lagoon, Pemba Island

    Today you will drop your vehicle off in the Serengeti and take a light aircraft flight over to Pemba Island where you can kick back and relax for a few days. A jewel in the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar is a stunning destination with a wonderful selection of both luxurious and rustic retreats. There's no better place to finish your safari.
  • DAY 14 Departure

    Today you will fly from Pemba Island to Dar Es Salaam, where you will connect to your international flight home.
