This 11-night itinerary allows you to visit all 5 of Tanzania’s Northern National Parks, including Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater (plus Arusha, Tarangire and Lake Manyara). The real beauty about this itinerary isn't just the superb wildlife viewing and incredible scenery, it's the fact that you get to self-drive! This means you get to go to all the best spots whilst keeping your distance from the busy tour buses. It's one of the few ways to travel Tanzania in a peaceful environment.
On arrival you will be collected to Arusha Coffee Lodge in Arusha. Here you will be given your vehicle and will be briefed on your trip.
Today you set off to Tarangire, which is only a 2-3 hours away from Arusha. Once inside the park you can enjoy yourself game driving to Maweninga Tented Camp.
Today you will make your way out of Tarangire and to the Ngorongoro Crater. The following morning your will descend into the crater!
This camps is perfectly positioned to see The Great Migration in January & February. Enjoy two nights here.
Head north further into the Serengeti where the scenery and wildlife viewing will take your breathe away.
Start your journey back towards Arusha, but break the journey with a two night stay stop off at at Wayo Manyara Camp in Lake Manyara National Park. This is a beautiful park and home to thousands of flamingoes!
You will make your way back to Arusha for your final nights stay.
You will be transferred back to the airport in good time for international flight home.
