This trip takes in two of Zambia’s best known national parks; Kafue and Lower Zambezi. You start at the spectacular Victoria Falls before heading north into Kafue’s southern plains. Make your way north through this incredibly remote national park, where you are unlikely to see another vehicle, before heading south east via Lusaka down to Lower Zambezi. Famous for its elephant and hippo populations and river safaris, Lower Zambezi is another park that offers a wilder game viewing experience. You can take canoeing or boat safaris on the river, which often gives the best sightings and proves an interesting contrast to viewing from your vehicle. You make your way back to Livingstone and finish on the banks of the Zambezi.
Over the years we have researched and refined the list of vehicle equipment that we provide. The equipment is identical in every vehicle but we always ensure you have the essentials for each country and its respective driving conditions.
All our itineraries are tailor made, but here are some of our favourite routes and camp combinations.
