On this safari you will follow the mountainous shadow of Malawi’s western lake shore as you head north from Lilongwe on the less travelled route to Viphya Mountains to Nyika Plateau via the beach and back again. This mountainous route is great for walkers, hikers and birders. The birdlife in Malawi and especially on this northern route is especially rich for Southern Africa. There is also the opportunity for some watersports on the lake before heading back south to Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve for four days (three nights) of game viewing on the Bua River.
Over the years we have researched and refined the list of vehicle equipment that we provide. The equipment is identical in every vehicle but we always ensure you have the essentials for each country and its respective driving conditions.
All our itineraries are tailor made, but here are some of our favourite routes and camp combinations.
