A client favourite, this lodge to lodge itinerary is a similar route to our Classic Namibia itinerary, though slower paced, stretching over 18 nights - allowing you more time to soak up the in-camp experience. Arrive in Windhoek where you will be met by a member of our team and taken to the stunning Omaanda Lodge. Once you have settled into your room, you will be briefed on your vehicle, its equipment, the driving conditions, your route and safety issues.
This morning you drive north from Windhoek to Okonjima Luxury Bush Camp. Okonjima is home to the AfriCat Foundation and offers unique wildlife experiences like no where else.
Today you continue your journey to Etosha National Park where you will stay at the beautiful Onguma Tented Camp. Staying here for two nights gives you plenty of time to explore the Onguma Private Reserve with the excellent guides here, or to venture into Etosha itself in your own vehicle.
Game driving through Etosha today, you will make your way to Ongava Tented Camp, which is idyllically perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking a waterhole - a lovely spot for a gin & tonic whilst game watching. This stunning luxury tented camp is one of Etosha's best and is located on a 30,000 hectare private game reserve. There's also a wonderful photographic hide where you can view game coming to the waterhole from eye level.
Heading into Damaraland, the Grootberg Lodge makes a wonderful 'pit-stop' stay for one night. The drive up is steep, but the views from the lodge are utterly breathtaking. The lodge places great importance in conservation of local flora and fauna and is also 100% funded by the conservancy, making it one of the first of its kind in Namibia.
Hoanib Valley Camp located in the heart of the Kaokoland wilderness is your home for the next two nights. Surrounded by mountains and stunning desert vistas. Here, amongst other activities on offer, there are game drives to track desert adapted lion, elephant and giraffe.
This morning you drive south through Damaraland to stay at this beautiful lodge at near Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rock engravings. This luxurious camp nestles amongst huge boulders and the rooms have lovely views across the ancient landscape.
Today you will drive to the town of Swakopmund and stay at the lovely Villa Margherita. Your two night stay by the coast gives you the chance to enjoy some of the many activities on offer, perhaps a boat tour out of nearby Walvis Bay or a 4x4 adventure through the dunes to Sandwich Harbour (pictured). There are some great restaurants to try out here too.
Your journey takes you south to Tsondab Valley Lodge, in a stunning location on a private nature reserve, you'll be surrounded by red dunes and camelthorn savannah. Enjoy relaxing in this wonderful and exclusive camp. Perhaps take time to explore the 'Hidden Canyon' and the 'Blue Marble Mountains'.
This is one of the most unique establishments in the Sossusvlei area and only half an hour from the Sesriem gate, making it an ideal place to stay when you are visiting the highest dunes in the world! Nature drives, quad biking and hot air ballooning are all on offer while based at this castle-like oasis.
Today you will make your way into one of the most beautiful parts of Namibia - The NamibRand Nature Reserve. Furthermore, your home for the next 2 nights will be Wolwedans Dunes Camp, one of our absolute favourites. Here you will be impressed by stunning views, expert guiding as you explore this desert habitat, enjoy wild picnics, sundowners on the dunes and dinner by candlelight - a stay here is a very special experience.
Driving north and through the Spreetshoogte Pass, tonight you will stay in a Klipspringer Villa at Namibgrens Guest Farm. The friendly team will welcome you to explore the natural wilderness here, whether that is hiking to viewpoints on an escarpment overlooking the Namib Desert or meandering along the 4x4 trails between the granite outcrops.
For your final night in Namibia you will be staying at Sandwerf. This stylish boutique lodge in a tranquil setting and with strong sustainability values is an ideal place to end your journey. Here you can relax and reflect on what has hopefully been a fantastic adventure!
Make your way back to Windhoek airport in time for your flight home. You will hand back your vehicle and have your trip debrief at the airport, prior to boarding your flight. Safe journey home!
