What do the best camps in Tanzania offer? The answer: the best food, locations, views, guides and beds (the comfiest). We've made this one a bit shorter than our normal two-week holidays, but can extend it with ease for those who want to travel longer.
On arrival you will be met and transferred to one of Arusha's leading properties, Legendary Lodge. Enjoy one night here.
Start your journey and make your way to Tarangire National Park. On entering the park you can game drive to Kuro Tarangire; this is one of our favourite camps. Enjoy two nights here.
Leave Tarangire and make your way to Tanzania's famous Ngorongoro Crater. You will stay on Highlands Camp which is located on the rim and has views over the Crater. From Highlands Camp you can descend into the Crater for a day's game driving.
Leave the Ngorongoro Crater and Conservative Area and head into the Serengeti from the South. In January and February there is no better camp to head to than Serian's mobile camp, as it's located right in the middle of the Great Migration during birthing season; which is a magical time to be in the Serengeti.
Leave Serian Camp and drive further North to Dunia Camp, another semi-permanent camp set on the wilderbeest migration route.
Today you head to &Beyond's Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, located at the far end of the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park. You stay in stylish yet authentic tree house, nestled in mahogany branches and set on the edge of the high cliffs that make up the border of the park.
Today return to Arusha to Lemala's Arusha Villa's for your last nights stay.
Today you will be transferred to the international airport in good time for your flight home.
