Scenery & Solitude

Overview

It would be wrong to assume that all Namibia's best regions are in the north, actually the south boasts some of the country's most iconic features and arguably the best scenery. On this route you will travel through deserts, past giant sand dunes and around canyons. It will be hard to beat for the desert explorer! Along the way you're likely to encounter plenty of oryx, ostrich, birds of prey and bat-eared foxes if you're lucky and of course wild horses if you are in the Aus area. If there has been rain the roadside flowers can be incredible too.
